Most of our stress…

does not come from what is happening right now.

It comes from what has already happened…

Or what we imagine might happen next.

We carry yesterday into today.

We borrow worries from tomorrow.

The breath returning to the present. Hello and welcome to Sweet Dreams. A quiet space where the day comes to rest and your mind can begin to slow down. Take a deep breath in and gently let it go. Allow your body to soften. Tonight we return to something simple. There is a story about a student who once asked a teacher, How can I find peace? My mind is always busy. It is either thinking about the past or worrying about what is coming next. The teacher didn't answer immediately. Instead, he handed the student a cup of tea. Drink this, he said. The student took the cup, but as he lifted it to his lips, his mind was still racing. He thought about his problems, his responsibilities, the things he needed to fix. The teacher watched him and gently said, You are holding the tea, but you are not here. The student paused. Try again, the teacher said. This time the student slowed down. He felt the warmth of the cup in his hands. He noticed the rising steam. He took a sip slowly. For a brief moment, everything else disappeared. No past. No future. Just the experience in front of him. The teacher smiled and said, This is where peace lives. There is something profound in this. Most of our stress does not come from what is happening right now. It comes from what has already happened or what we imagine might happen next. We carry yesterday into today. We borrow worries from tomorrow. And in doing so, we miss the only place where life is actually happening. The present moment. Not to fix everything, not to solve every problem, but simply to be. Tonight, you don't need to carry everything with you. You don't need to replay the day. You don't need to predict tomorrow. Just return to this moment. Feel your breath. Slow and steady. Let it anchor you. Let it remind you that right now you are safe. You are here. And this moment is enough. Peace is not something far away. It is something you return to again and again through awareness. Let these words settle gently in your mind. I return to the present moment. I release what I cannot control. In this moment I am at peace. Let that sit quietly. No effort, just presence. As you prepare to sleep tonight, remember this. Peace is not found in the past or in the future. It is found in returning to now. If this helped you slow down or brought you a moment of calm, share it with someone who might need it tonight. And please follow this podcast because every follow helps this message reach more people. People who need peace before they sleep. Return to your breath and let everything else go. This is Sweet Dreams with Uncle Pizza. Good night.
