It means…
You are choosing not to suffer from it anymore.
The river learning to let go. Hello and welcome to Sweet Dreams. A quiet space where your thoughts can slow down and your mind can begin to rest. Take a deep breath in and gently let it go. Let the day drift away. Tonight we reflect on letting go. There is a story about a young man who went to a teacher in search of peace. My mind is heavy, he said. I keep thinking about things that have happened, things I cannot change. The teacher listened quietly, then invited him to walk. They walked in silence until they reached a flowing river. The teacher picked up a small stone and handed it to the young man. Hold this, he said. The young man held the stone in his hand. Now the teacher said, Place it in the water and hold it there. The young man stepped into the river and lowered his hand beneath the surface. He held the stone tightly. Seconds passed, then minutes. His arm began to ache. The pressure grew stronger. The weight became uncomfortable. Finally he said, I can't hold it any longer. The teacher looked at him and asked, What is causing you pain? The stone or the way you are holding it? The young man paused. Slowly he opened his hand, the stone slipped away, carried by the current, and immediately the tension in his arm disappeared. The teacher said, The pain was never the stone, it was your grip. There is something truly deep in this. In life, we often hold on to things longer than we need to. A mistake, a regret, a moment we wish had gone differently. We replay it, we carry it, we tighten our grip, and over time what we hold on to begins to weigh us down. But just like the stone, not everything is meant to be carried forever. Some things are meant to pass through your life, not stay in your hands. Letting go does not mean what happened didn't matter. It means you are choosing not to suffer from it anymore. Tonight, you don't need to solve everything. You don't need to fix the past. You only need to loosen your grip just a little. Let the weight soften, let the tension ease, because peace often begins the moment you release what you were never meant to carry. And like the river, life continues to move. So can you. Let these words settle gently in your mind. I release what I cannot change. I let go of what weighs me down. I choose peace over holding on. Let that sit quietly, no effort, just release. As you prepare to sleep tonight, remember this. Not everything needs to stay with you. Some things are meant to be let go. If this gave you a moment of peace, please share it with someone who might need it tonight and follow this podcast because every follow helps this message reach more people, people who need rest, clarity, and release before they sleep. Rest your mind. Let it all flow. This is Sweet Dreams with Uncle Pizza. Good night.
